About DHA Gandhara (Phase 9)
DHA Gandhara, launched as DHA Phase 9, is the largest phase of DHA Islamabad, spread over approximately 32,500 kanals along the M-2 Motorway corridor near the New Islamabad International Airport and adjacent to Capital Smart City. It is delivered under the Defence Housing Authority framework with the Army Welfare Trust and Habib Rafiq (Pvt) Ltd — the same development partnership behind several of DHA's better-executed phases.
Its master plan was prepared by Surbana Jurong, the Singaporean urban-design firm, which is unusual for the region and is the main reason the project has attracted attention beyond the usual DHA following. Access is via the DHA Expressway, Rawat–Chakbeli Road, the G.T. Road and the Islamabad Expressway, with the Rawat Interchange serving both Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Be clear about the stage: this is early. Plot sizes are indicated from 5 Marla upward, but the official residential payment plan is still being announced, and figures circulating in the market are pre-launch or projected rather than confirmed.
